I have been using this 4+ times per week since I got it. I love soup and now it is so quick and easy to make. The Ninja Foodi Cold/Hot blender sautes first and when done I add the rest of the ingredients. Not only do I use less pots and pans (less clean up) but I no longer have to cut ingredients into small pieces. I have sensitive eyes and cutting onions burns but with this blender I only have to quarter them, add butter and it does the sauteing. It the first picture you can see the size of the butternut squash I used. No shredding or chopping into small pieces. The unit heats up and chops a little and cooks. Then more chopping etc, until the very end when it blends until smooth. Also, the unit buzzes before each chop so that you can make sure the lid is on (you can open a hole on top to add ingredients or spices. When done, the soup is hot and ready to serve and all you have to clean up is the one unit. BTW, it also has a button to auto clean if items get stuck inside (I have not had that happen yet). I have made so many different smooth soups and my friends are thrilled. I have become the go to person when home made soup is yearned for. They just bring me the ingredients and containers to bring them the soup LOL. While I haven't made hearty soups yet I have made sauces. Picture #4 is from my first attempt at Alfredo sauce. So fast , easy and delicious. The Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender comes with a recipe book with delicious recipes to start with and suggestions on how to whip up your own recipe. I believe every home needs this. Soup & sauces in winter and frozen drinks & desserts in the summer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

WOW!!! From the moment my Ninja blender was delivered, I knew we were instore for new and exciting experiences. Needless to say, we weren't disappointed. The box was really heavy, which made me think that this was made well and would last a lifetime. Once we opened the box, we were speechless. The top locks in place to ensure there arent any accidents during use; especially when blending warm/hot ingredients. You also NEVER have to worry about NOT having the pitcher truly in place because there's an arrow on both the base and pitcher for accuracy. I cant tell you how many blenders blades I've destroyed when I thought it was set, but wasn't. 1st item made was a smoothie. Not only was it FAST, but it was a no brainer on which speed to use, because there's a Smoothie button that takes over, making you a smoothie that I'd put up against any smoothie chain. Well now it was time for a more adult beverage. WHAT!!! My pinacolada was delicious! I've never placed hot items in a blender, but I can assure you that with my Ninja, I'm looking for the perfect salsa recipe, because I have no fear!!! Best addition to my kitchen appliances in years! Add this powerful machine to your cuisine arsenal and have more fun than ever! I have been cooking so much more this past year, and adding the Ninja to my small appliance family was one of the best choices I could have made. I'm not even close to discovering all of the options available. I'm experiment with plant based eating so throwing in a bunch of veggies and heating or cooling makes for great soups, smoothies, bases, etc. This machine is well made. It is tall, but I have a cabinet for my small appliances. I love having these more sophisticated small appliances - chore specific and do not heat up the entire kitchen. The Ninja is relatively easy to clean. The self clean can be a bit tricky, but I'm getting the hang of it. Not enough of an issue to remove a star. The Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender is the greatest appliance I have had the pleasure of using! Here’s what I love the ability to blend and cook my soups without going from the stove to the blender. The recipes and ideas included with the Foodi are so good, I actually made homemade tomato sauce from my fresh garden tomatoes for the first time! It’s so easy to make not just creamy soups but hearty soups like chicken noodle using this blender. There are so many easy settings including cleaning so the only limit is my imagination. Cooking for 2 is now easier and even fun and if we have company, making mixed drinks is a breeze. With the included brush for cleaning the blades I can now grind up cooked chicken for the little ones without worrying about cleaning the blades by hand. I’ve had this blender for a couple weeks and I’m pretty impressed by it. The Ninja Foodi is quite powerful, crushing ice with ease. At first I didn’t think I’d like all the automated settings but it truly takes all the work out of blending...just press the button and the blender crushes and pauses on its own producing great smoothies and so much more. I didn’t foresee myself using the heating element, but it’s so much easier and less messy to make soups without using an immersion blender in a pot on the stove or having to wait for soup to cool before blending. The great recipe book is an added bonus. I was skeptical about cleaning since the blender jar cannot be put in dishwasher or submerged in water but the cleaning mode works great. Just fill with water and a drop of soap. The water heats up quickly and the blender cleans itself! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
