Green Light Smoothie
In Blender jar add 1 cup of grapes; ½ cup cubed fresh pineapple; 2 cups lightly packed spinach; ½ medium ripe banana, peeled; ½ medium Granny smith apple, cored and sliced; 1 cup ice cubes; ½ cup cold water. Place all ingredients in Blender, select programmed SMOOTHIE setting. Serve immediately. -
DIY Cocoa-Hazelnut Spread
Using the Mini-Jar place ½ cup of Honey, ¼ Cup of Unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of Canola oil, 2 tablespoons of Water, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/8 teaspoon Kosher salt, 1 Cup unsalted hazelnuts, toasted into the jar in the order noted. PULSE on HIGH 2 to 3 times. Use the tamper to press ingredients into the blade. Then BLEND on HIGH for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until creamy. Transfer to a covered container and store in the refrigerator. -
Simple Raspberry Sorbet
Add 1-1/2 cups orange juice, 1/3 Cup honey (agave nectar or natural cane sugar), and one 12oz. package of frozen raspberries to blender jar. Select programmed DIP/SALSA setting to incorporate ingredients. Then Select programmed SMOOTHIE setting until ingredients are fully blended but not liquid. Place ingredients into freezer in covered container for 1-2 hours. Let stand for 10-20 minutes on countertop to soften before serving. -
Roasted Tomato Soup
Place 2 lbs (approximately 8 medium) cored and halved tomatoes in an ungreased shallow baking pan cut side up with 1 small shallot quartered and 1 medium garlic clove peeled. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and roast 20-22 minutes or until shallot is tender. Transfer to the blender jar add ½ cup raw cashews, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper and BLEND on HIGH for 1 minute until pureed. Serve immediately and sprinkle with minced fresh herbs such as parsley, basil or oregano as desired.

I chose this particular Versa model for its 7 year warranty and great value for everything you get. There are many pieces to this set. A 4 cup jar, an 8 cup jar the 5 cup processor jar and two blend N go cups. It also includes 4 blades and an adaptor to use with your older osterizer attachments and jars. So far I've made restaurant quality smoothies and health drinks with this blender and I'm very impressed with the results. It has great power yet can make perfect salsa and dips with the touch of a button, thanks to its preprogrammed settings. Overall, it's a great blender that packs lots of power at a good price. It offers versatility with its myriad of attachments and range of speeds to help you in the kitchen.

Needing to drop a few pounds, I was finding it hard NOT to eat processed food (which has so much sugar content). Turning to a more heathly eating lifestyle, I now "blend" a limitless combination of fruits and vegetables (at the same time) in my VERSA eliminating the need to eat processed foods. And I stay fuller longer!
